CrichtonSun is the home of the Michael Crichton archives as well as a motion picture and television production company founded by Sherri Crichton.
Michael Crichton left behind a legacy of novels, non-fiction work, speeches, film scripts and television series. Michael re-defined science-fiction into science fact, explored history and things yet to come. He transformed the vision of science capabilities-even from decades past, bringing revolutionary ideas into the present. CrichtonSun continues Michael’s legacy through a variety of exciting projects, across all platforms, and bringing his voice into the 21st Century and beyond.
What are we working on?
Sherri Crichton created CrichtonSun LLC in 2014 as the vehicle through which to preserve and celebrate Michael’s work and to introduce him to future generations.
When Michael passed away in 2008, he left behind one of the most extensive archives of any writer this century. He had a photographic memory and recorded everything he was exposed to. He was constantly researching, clipping articles and taking notes – all saved in thousands of folders filling rooms worth of filing cabinets and over a million files in digital format. Since 2014, Sherri and her team have been organizing the extensive archives he left behind, which included book manuscripts, screenplays and thousands of pages of detailed notes on the topics most important to him such as human behavior, morality, modern medicine, technology and scientific breakthroughs.
On the film and television production side, producing partners Sherri Crichton and Laurent Bouzereau have set-up and are actively developing a series of projects, including Micro and Pirate Latitudes at Amblin Partners, and Dragon Teeth at Amblin Television. Together they collaborated on the launch of Michael’s novel Dragon Teeth with Harper Collins, and are currently working on other upcoming Crichton publishing events.
